-
A brand with a deeply Etsy-loyal customer base needed to grow its owned Shopify channel. The risk was obvious: move people off the marketplace where they already trust you, and you can lose the personal, handmade feel that made them buy in the first place. The creative had to migrate the audience without breaking the intimacy.
-
Meet buyers where the trust already lives, then move them to the channel that scales. An Etsy audience isn't buying a product, they're buying a feeling of something personal and made by a real person. If Shopify feels colder than Etsy, the shift fails. So the creative had to carry the warmth across, not just the catalog.
-
Built paid-social creative that preserved the handmade, personal brand feel on the way to Shopify.
Positioned the owned channel as the same experience, not a downgrade from the marketplace.
Pushed the channel shift deliberately, moving loyal buyers toward the destination that scales.
Protected the brand intimacy that drove the original loyalty, so nothing that made the brand loved got lost in the move.

Shopify surpassed Etsy sales for the first time, revenue rose 13% to $88.4K, and sales climbed 42% July over June. A durable owned-channel shift, not a one-month spike, and one that sets the brand up to scale on infrastructure it controls.
“From Katie's full rebranding to the creative that carried the handmade feeling from Etsy to Shopify intact, I’m so happy. Our customers never felt the difference, and for the first time our own store won.”
