A conservative-spend DTC brand needed to grow new-customer acquisition without inflating the budget. The mandate wasn't “spend more to grow,” it was “grow while staying efficient.” That's a harder brief, because it puts the pressure on the creative to carry the performance instead of leaning on budget to buy reach.
-
When a client is cautious with spend, the creative has to do the work the budget won't. You don't buy your way to growth in that scenario, you earn it with concepts that convert on their own merit, then scale only where the data gives you permission. Efficiency isn't a constraint on the creative, it's the brief.

Rebuilt the creative against live shifts in the market, updating hooks and angles as performance data came in rather than running a static set.
Fed the top-performing concepts straight into paid and read the results back into the next round. A loop, not a launch.
Expanded top-of-funnel deliberately to grow the new-customer base while holding cost per visitor down.
Inched spend up only where the numbers earned it, keeping efficiency intact the whole way.

New customer orders jumped 182% (210 → 593), revenue climbed 41%, cost per unique visitor dropped 24%, and email capture grew 85%. Growth and efficiency in the same window, which is exactly what a conservative spender needs to see.
“Katie's creative did the heavy lifting. Concepts sharp enough to grow us without leaning on budget to get there.”
